What Was the Project?
2130 - CISM - Business Information Systems A paper must be written regarding two competing tech items (tangible or intangible) that are relevant to college students today. A case presentation will on the subject of the paper will be required. This paper and presentation need to demonstrate competency comprehensively as to what the principles, issues, and opportunities of information technology and information systems are in the business world today. This can include a discussion and understanding of the evolving nature of information technology in management information systems and/or business information systems and the impact that these functions can have on organizational success and competitive positioning through the use of strategic information systems in an organization.
Why Was THIS Project Chosen as an Example?
This artifact is two-fold, there is the paper that displays written communication, as well as the PowerPoint presentation that I narrated to orally communicate the discussion of social media superiority. I did not have advanced knowledge that an audio/visual recording was required as part of this portfolio, and as I am taking this capstone course in its final appearance, that happens to be during the summer term, I do not have any opportunities to record a future presentation. The subject matter is also relevant to exemplifying the Communication Objective. Social Media is rapidly becoming the sole form of communication for many people today.

Please Note: You can view the presentation through the Microsoft Power Point Web App, but if you would like to hear the audio you must go to the bottom of this page and click the link for the file. It is too large to be played over Microsoft's Web App. It is set up so that if you play the show, the audio will play automatically and the slides will change after the audio is finished. I apologize for any inconvenience.
